Cool driving music and sexy lyrics. A touch of Steely Dan, Santana and even Pink Floyd. I think it’s the second track where you sound like Ian Drury, (before he went mental!) I really think you should get out there – the Edinburgh Festival would be perfect, lots of Jazz / Music venues and you could make some dosh.

Good vibes !! Loved the horns and fat song. Will watch for Spotify.

Hi Jan
If “Old Blood…New Tears “ had been a book I would have said: “I couldn’t put it down.”
Even setting aside the great Saxophone playing everything on the whole CD delivered bells-full of nostalgia. “Toast” especially brought back memories from my decadent past of love and loss…always loss.
In spite of my ingrained Classical music background, your music completely grabbed me by the throat (and much lower down!).I’m looking forward to your next ‘oeuvre’. It’s a pity I won’t be able to share it with the people I partied with in my twenties. They will all be dead or in jail by now. Or even worse, they’ll have become respectable.
Thanks a bunch.
Owen
Hi Jan,
Many thanks for the tunes!! I listened to them in the office earlier – sounds great – congratulations on getting the album out. Now, where and when does the 2019 Timeslice tour start? You know I have an interest in a live music bar here in Houston. I can get you on stage there in a heartbeat…..
Thanks again. I will share with my colleagues to brag on you and your band mates!
Tim
Hi Jan
Thanks very much for the CD. I was driving on Saturday, which gave me time to really listen to it – which I did twice straight through. Its wonderful. I’m impressed. It all sounds very professional. The others there obviously were enjoying themselves extemporising. Your song writing in a great piece of work, it sounds like poetry with every word thought through again and again. Did you send a copy to the BBC? The fake news song might make a great and topical intro to one of their programmes! The songs you played to me in unfinished form sounded very familiar again this time around but with a lot of added oomph. You should be well pleased with this work.
